We are building our first home while living overseas and this wouldn't be possible without our trustful relationship with Alan and his team of professionals at Seashore Properties. Our project has been well coordinated from the word go and we have enjoyed a direct and open line of communication throughout. Alan and his team have always offered timely input when selecting design concepts, materials and addressing our budget. They recognize that a positive relationship is central to the success of this project and they have left us with little doubt in their ability to satisfy our needs. Although we have never built a home from scratch before, we have been
involved in many extensive renovations in other Canadian locations. There
is no doubt that this construction far exceeded our expectations of what
would be involved in a home building experience.
We first contacted Seashore Properties in May 2004 and by the time that we
met Alan a few weeks later, he had prepared a complete budget and put
together a team to build the house. He reviewed our plans and was able to
recommend appropriate building materials based on the climate of the
North Shore. Once the plans and the budget were confirmed, Alan was a
whirlwind of activity. There was never a day's lag between one aspect of
the construction and the next. The trades knew each other well and worked
well together. Alan was in constant communication with everyone to ensure
that they had the materials they needed and to let them know when to be on-site.
Although we were often only on-site every 2-3 weeks, Alan kept us
completely informed via phone, email and digital photographs. I can't
imagine how you could build a home from a remote location with someone who
does not have Alan's incredible communication skills. He was virtually
always available via his blackberry.
The quality of the carpenters at Carpenter's Inc. is remarkable. Their
attention to detail and pride of workmanship is evident in everything they
do. They often made recommendations that enhanced the plans and saved us
money.
The entire project took less than five months and was a fantastic
experience. I can't recommend Seashore Properties highly enough.

We purchased property in December 2003 from a distance and hired Alan Brennan as the Project Manager with Carpenters Inc on board from the start. We developed detailed plans with input from both Alan and the builder. Their patience and response to changes we made along the way was greatly appreciated.
Alan provided regular feedback via e-mail and sent pictures to report on progress. He kept us advised of decisions that we had to make with enough warning that we had time to research the options and make a final decision. Building began with little delay and was completed in time for our arrival in mid June. The house reflects superb workmanship and represents the efforts of all involved to make the project a success.
